Wonderful Wonder Woman cards

As I've mentioned a couple of times already, one of my New Year's resolutions is to support local, independent businesses more - it's a tough old economic climate, so why funnel my money towards the big boys when I can help support small retailers, crafters and artists who are passionate about what they do? As a plus, I get to buy products that aren't mass market and that mean more to me than if they were bought off a shelf.

So it is with UK crafter Britt, a friend of a friend who I contacted after seeing some work on her website with an idea for a greetings card I wanted. I knew she did personalised work, so thought it was worth a punt that she wouldn't laugh at my idea. As talented people are wont to do, she took my basic suggestion and made it better: so behold, these lovely Wonder Woman cards that arrived this morning. I love them - they are beautifully made, bold and have the clean lines of the best of Wondie's costume - and they cost me about the same as if I'd bought them off the shelf in Paperchase.

Britt was so pleased with these she's now selling them on Etsy, where you can check out her whole range (she asked if I minded, to put at ease those who think, 'wait, I order bespoke then it gets sold to other people?!') and is now considering doing a girls of Gotham range. What do you think? If you're really nice to me, you might get one...
